Mary Westmacott Podcast Debuts

That dynamic duo of Agatha Christie studies, Dr. Mark Aldridge and Gray Robert Brown, have come up with a new podcast about the novels of Mary Westmacott.

“Westmapod” is a limited series in which they devote each episode to one of the six books Christie published under her alter ego.

They released an introductory episode recently. The first episode about “Giant’s Bread” appeared on April 13. They plan on releasing a new episode every two weeks.

I’m looking forward to their discussion. Michelle at Cupboard Maker Books set aside the collected works published by Avenel, and now I have a good reason to dive in.

As for their “Swinging Christies” podcast, I see from Amazon.co.uk that they’re publishing a book version in February 2027. Details are not available, but mark it on your calendar. If their discussion of Christie’s novels of the ‘60s are any indication, it promises to be entertaining and enlightening reading.
