Teresa to Demonstrate Sewing Cloth Grocery Bags Tonight
Authors on a book tour typically bring just their pens and themselves.
We’re trying something different. Tonight (11/12) at 7 p.m. at Cupboard Maker Books in Enola. We’re bringing a sewing machine, an iron, and a box of accessories, and Teresa will demonstrate sewing the cloth grocery bags we sell at our public appearances.
It’s part of our campaign to promote “Sew Cloth Grocery Bags.”
We’re playing this event by ear. Teresa will talk about the process, demonstrate specific tasks, and answer questions. Copies of the book will be for sale, at the usual price we charge for public appearances.
If you’re not interested in sewing, I’ll be at the table displaying Teresa’s other books, “The Bridge from Dairapaska” and “Fed, Safe, and Sheltered,” as well as Skye’s “A Dictionary of Flowers and Gems.”
