Romance at Ashcombe Farms; Fairy Tale Fundraiser
Two announcements:
This coming weekend, Teresa and I will be visiting Ashcombe Farms for their “Love Is in the Air” event. This event is for romance writers, so we’re not going to be selling books. We’re just attending.
But we are going for a specific reason. Self-education is an important part of any business. Seeing what other people are doing and judging what works and what doesn’t.
It may give us some ideas for our own presentation, it may not. But we won’t know until we go out there and see.
Secondly, I can’t believe I forgot to mention this, but my friend Megan Lavey-Heaton of “Namesake” is nearly finished raising money for the second “Valor” anthology over at Kickstarter.
I’m thrilled to see she’s raised nearly double the $45,000 she hoped to raise.
If you have an itch for a comic anthology graphic novel featuring women in un-traditional fairy tales, then this is for you. But the deadline is Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, at 2:10 p.m. EST.
